China has chopped down 80% of it’s trees. No surprise they have gigantic sandstorms and extreme pollution. Trees would save the people - even without hugging them.

I am reall curious if all the draconic measure China is preparing right now will gurantee a smog free Olympics next year? But China is currently throwing all harsh enviromental critics into jail.
The best thing that can happen is that the Olympics are one big embarassement: smog, sandstorms, etc. - so maybe …. MAYBE … the communist party get’s out of it state of denial and the people themselves consider it a serious problem.
