One minute you cheer and think finally somebody from the inside is passing out clues for the real reason the US invaded Iraq. Then in the next breath he comes out and says Saddam had designs on capturing the Straits of Hormuz. Saddam had no navy to speak of, would have had to beat the US navy in the Persian Gulf, or would have had to fight his way down either coastline to the Strait. None of which had a snowball’s chance in hell of succeeding anywhere in the world but Greenspan’s mind. He may know finance but needs some lessons on geography.

Yeah, I found Hormuz talk a bit odd. After that 60 Minutes special with Greenspan he seems to be backpedaling a bit. What a shame. He can talk straight (not like that straight talking McCain), unless he also wants to run for President?!
