People still model their lives on old ideals and role models like the shining Knight and cool Cowboys. It is amazing how much influence simple images have on our minds and personalities - although our surrounding no longer have any space for sword wielding Samurais or innocent Burgfräuleins.

Archetypes can help us as mental devices to transform ourselves - but we should never confuse an inner image with reality.
