Nothing is hardly more annoying then someone who thinks who owns the world all by himself: the business traveler. Sent of by their companies they are the ignorant brats of the skies or fiends in trains. Hardly anyone else travels which such ignorance regarding his fellow being as they do.
First of all they are always in a rush, despite all the millions of Euro spent on workshops, books, PDAs and electronic gadgets for a better time management. Strikes me as no surprise that people who can’t manage themselves are hardly capable of managing others as well.
The next qualification of these self proclaimed VIB (Very Important Business travelers) Is their amazing ignorance. ‘Me - Me - Me’ seems to be their inner chant while they bully their way thru waiting cues or airport passages.
Their competition for ignorance is at it’s best, when it comes to personal storage space in air planes. Although airlines have been campaigning one piece of luggage per traveler - these people still drag huge trolleys plus a big laptop bag into the airplane’s compartment. Since there is of course not enough space to contain it all, all passengers are forced to deal with bags, coats and laptops diminishing the already tight spaces.

Adjust trolley size to ego - drag and drop unto other passengers.
If that wasn’t enough now they unfold their laptops or newspapers, punch their elbows right into your stomach or the edge of the London Telegraph right into your face. ‘Hey, that’s my space - I paid for it I am a golden card business traveler.
They are usually the last ones to switch of their cell phones off. I have personally experienced endlessly babbling business people until the crew forcibly asked them to stop using their phones right INSIDE the airplane. The reverse situation is bound to happen as soon as the plane sets down at it’s destination point: phones out asap.
I agree that today’s business world is a fast moving and very competitive market, but is fast moving ignorance and competition with your fellow travelers a necessary characteristic of a modern business person?!
Makes me wonder what happened to traveling in style and consideration?! But this is no longer traveling - it’s a business trip - and a bad trip as well for all other passengers.
