Poverty is hardly ‘exclusive’ for developing nation. Rich countries have cut down their social programs to help their own fallen people dramatically.

And the attitude towards the poor has changed as well: they are considered more and more as ‘evil’ people, unwilling to work, collect wealth and look cool.

So the ignorance has grown - the idea of one great community has disappeared. The idea of being social and share so everybody has a good life has been replaced by blatant consumerism and pseudo celebrity lifestyle.
