When will China’s success sweep away the communist party?

wa_china_communist_swearing_in

I swear to enrich the capitalists and suppress the masses for the greater good of the party and maybe China.

The great red nation has transformed itself in the total opposite of socialism: workers are suppressed while capitalist robber barons and the party enrich themselves.

I wonder how long they can keep the strings together? Especially when poverty and social differences become harsher and harsher?

Vietnam is always regarded as the past of China because we follow China’s strategy, or politic direction, etc.
We can not say which is better, capitalism or communism. the regime and ideology are the pretext for the elite to dictate the rest of population.
Poverty and the gap between the poor and the rich are common issues of globalisation.

@trang: The Vietnam bit is interesting - didn’t know that.

I think overall the question of Communism vs Capitalism is settled. There is no real communist country on this planet. But almost all countries have settled for a form of Elitish-Capitalism - with some more or less Democratic underpinning / platform.

So Capitalism is not really the problem - Elitism is. Russia is run by rich elites, China as well as the US … not much differences there …
