The Happiness of Dirt

nature_pig_in_mud

I think dirt can make you very happy. Pigs and Kids enjoy playing in water and dirt - and why not? Nature is dirty.

Modern society is too obsessed with hygiene and “clean” fun.

Life is dirty.

My kids grew up in a paddock,
the nearest pool was a big muddy puddle
that would form in a large rut in the driveway, after rain.

it was a popular play place for the kids when young.
I asked only that they would bring their clothes back with them
and not leave them at the bottom of the puddle,
to be rediscovered only when the puddle dried up.

@Lisa: Thanks for that nice story. Now I imagine all Australian kids with pig snouts digging down to hide their cloths …

;-)
