@MrBaliHai: Thanks for the insights. I usually read the Economist - and so far I am underwhelmed with Gordon and his team. I am actually surprised he has such a weak team, but he seems obsessed with micro managing everything himself.

Bugger.

Brown's ministers are complete fuck-ups, especially Alistair Darling, the finance minister. They're proposing stupid taxes practically on a daily basis. The proposed tax on non-coms will have a very negative effect on foreigners doing business in the UK, which will directly affect the British economy. You already know what I think about the carbon-offset tax on business travelers...;-)

@MrBaliHai: Hello again. I am still watching Gordon Brown - he used to make some sound economic decisions under Blair - but his recent actions leave me a bit baffled.

Do you think he will fuckup the Thatcher/Blair "wonder" - of is he simply in the bad position of residing over a cyclic downturn?

"Tony Blair inherited many necessary - but painful - changes made under Thatcher and built his success on it."

And Gordon Brown is busy driving England back into the pre-Thatcher "No Future" era.
