The General-Myth

myth_general_custer

The title General doesn’t make you a military genius, nor does it bless you with understanding or courage.

PS: That is General Custer - who made his famous last stand at the Little Big Horn.

'The General-Myth'

I’ve met a few generals in my lifetime. The vast majority I’ve met were impressive, smart, many are extremely courageous, and a few are quite gifted. And then there will always be a few that detract from all the rest. The few who should never have become generals in the first place but hitched a ride to the stars on the coattails of their more endowed sponsors. General Paul Harkins is a prime example of the latter.
