Everything is amazing – nobody is happy

I think this perfectly sums up how ignorant most people are regarding our current amazing achievements. We live in high-tech global society that is simply breathtaking.

Dave

Thank you for posting this. I see this a lot in my line of work in the US Midwest. The ‘entitlement crowd’… their every whim has been pandered to by government and big business, and they quickly learn to expect what was very recently considered luxuries. To make matters worse, because it’s often the LCD (lowest common denominator), esp where I live, they don’t know how to behave properly… i.e, give them an inch, they take mile.

@Dave: I think “we” in rich countries often live in a cloud of illusion. Just because we can buy so much crap, see so many rich people on TV and hear about making money all the time we think it’s normal.

But the so called “normal” middle class is a modern invention – and it seems it’s dying out again.

I also hate that entitlement attitude you described …
