Just because you rebel against something or act a bit odd doesn’t make you different. Even amongst rebels, punks and other “outsiders” to the so called system is a certain uniformity and consensus of what is supposed to be different.

Finding your inner child and behaving like an adult idiot doesn’t make you any younger or wiser. Sometimes it is necessary to go back in your memories and heal some old crap. But you should came back and act with the decency and wisdom befitting your actual age. Nobody like big babies.

When I watch some young parents playing with their kids I often wonder: did they want a kid or simply a talking doll?
That phrase “they grow up so fast” especially sounds very stupid in that context. What did you expect what was going to happen: your baby would stay forever tiny, vulnerable and totally dependable on you – so you can play and dominate that little human?
That commercial precisely captures two modern truths: pumping yourself up with music (via your iPod) and loads of sugar & caffeine from your local latte dealer.
Music, sugar and caffeine to make ourselves feel good and calm down our neurotic egos. We do matter! We do great stuff! We have a great job to fulfil! We are someone!
So we force our brains to feel euphoric although there is nothing to feel euphoric about. So that high that you kick yourself into is simply self-deception and worth nothing.
Stop lying to yourself and get real highs.
Forget all these exercises about inner peace, harmony and patience. These are lies – even the gets get annoyed by trivial stuff …
*Thanks to Edosan for that lesson*
Most people are afraid about the future. They fear the unpredictable – that is why all those imposters who claim to give you glints of the future have always been in high demand by scared human minds.
But we define the future ourselves by going there. We can’t influence everything what is coming toward us – but we can take part in the “design” and “movement” of our destiny. It’s not all blurry and totally unpredictable.
If you take an active part in your own life and invest some thoughts & actions for your own future – the coming “now” will be much more to your liking and enjoyable – instead of simply stumbling into another moment of randomness …

How much ‘down to earth’ do you need to be to be ‘grounded’? How close to Mother Earth can you get without feeling ‘down’ or ‘falling flat on your face’? How dirty is getting ‘your hands dirty’? Or does ‘laying low for a while’ really help to ‘get both feed on the ground’?

We all know phrases like “inner child” or “being playful like a kid”. The adult mind obviously is jealous of the fun and simplicity the young mind seems to enjoy.
But it is important to understand that the young mind / brain simply doesn’t understand many things and simply hasn’t learnt them yet. So these simple minds can only understand simple fun and obvious entertainment.
Adults have the pleasure of understanding more complex ‘fun’ or entertaining ‘constructions’ of art, entertainment and meanings.
So when it comes to ‘fun’ adults have a broader scope of possibilities – it’s up to them to enjoy them.

Do you fight for justice & progress? Do you stand up for your enlightenment or do flee before the forces of laziness and ignorance? Do you look your own fears into the eye and try to overcame them? Do you sing to your heart and fill the world with happiness – or do you spread silence and discomfort? Do you build bridges for friends, family and strangers to join you – or do you dig deep holes for yourself and others?
Are you a Hero in your own life? Or just a sidekick to your own misery? Stand tall and show some courage – you only got this one chance for heroism for yourself.
There is no Superman, Wonder Woman or Santa Claus coming to your rescue …

Emotions are often symbolized by water and we have many expressions that represent this analogy as well “drowning in sorrow”.
Especially when our psyche is flooded with too many emotions we should pull the plug – and drain the swamp. Don’t let the flood wash you away or put too much pressure on yourself.
Once the water sinks you can really see what’s buried beneath all the water, mud and murky currents. With less pressure your psyche can work better and find a solution. A little bit of pressure / stress can be stimulating – but an emotional storm or flood isn’t helpful at all.
But do you know where to pull the plug? Do you know how to let go off overwhelming emotions?
So maybe fight water with water – take a relaxing bath or go swimming. Or fight back with tears – crying is one of the best ways to release emotional stress. A few hours in a sauna or steam bath also works wonders.
But most of all use your mind and make an effort to let go – use mental images to see the flow of life and your emotions. Let them flow down your inner drain and regain control of that island called ‘You’ …

We are too obsessed with “bigger / more is better”. But proportions should always be judged in context. Too much flexibility can be sometimes be as impratical, as too much rigidness. A wise person always uses the right amount of power, smartness or whatever is needed to get the job done. Too much of anything is a waste, to little doesn’t solve the task.
Learn to use the right amount of whatever you might need. And don’t get to impressed by people to show an overkill of power or dedication … overindulgence of any kind is stupid and serves usually only our ego and not the task at hand.

I am always suspicious about people who tell me they are overworked in their jobs. It usually means that they either can’t organize their jobs or their try to make themselves irreplaceable by sucking up every bit of work and responsibility they can lay their hands on.
The motivation is fear – fear of being replaceable and not important. But instead of being a useful coworker these people become bottlenecks, because they turn into control freaks.
And nobody like bottlenecks – not matter how ‘important’ or overworked they are …

Distrust any religious establishment that doesn’t enjoy the ultimate power of the universe and life: to have sex and procreate.
Unless you fuck yourself how can you explain and share the creative God’s blessings of sexuality? Life = Sex = Universe … and therefore must be godly …

There are such things as reactions time, habits and a learning curve. Our minds are (sometimes) great to react quickly to something physical – but in social, political, personal, emotional or technical situations we are rather slow.
It takes for our psyche or so called egos VERY long to understand new situations, figure out new people in our life’s or even our own selfish desires.
Then we are blinded by our life’s – looking daft or simply continue to behave like nothing has changed. But we are often ‘behind’ our own situation – slowly adopting to change …
Don’t be startled. Don’t be ignorant. Don’t be a creature of habits.
Change is natural. Surprises are normal. Go deal with them. Go and experiment. It’s fun!

Even after millions of wrecked knees, broken ankles and harsh downfalls the female of our species refuses to wear normal and safe footwear.
Instead they spent huge amounts of their income for these contraptions – just to be a little bit sexier, just to be a little bit higher and just to feel a bit better about themselves.
Just as guys try to improve their penis by buying huge cars and guns, female try to expand their alluring sexual qualities by huge amounts of leather objects in their closets.

We only get grumpy when we are sick, because we want be by ourselves. Overly protective and motherly females can be very annoying when one is trying to die in peace …

Yes, we are creatures ruled by time, rhythms and habits.
It start with our basic heart rate – the true rhythm of our lives.
The day & night pattern of our planet dictates our lifestyles, the need for sleep our awake times.
Our social life and whole society is built around rhythms, patterns, repeats and habits: work time, play time, quality time. We all have times and places for everything.
But there is the long time pattern of life itself: birth, life and death. We all sing and dance to that rhythm, either on a small human scale or cosmic one. Even suns and planets get born, have a life and burn out in the end. Even black holes end in another big bang.
Welcome to this Universe ruled by time, rhythms and patterns.
The true question is: do you design your own patterns of life or do you follow those patterns carved out for your by society, nature and other people’s expectations?
Time to rule your patterns, design your own patterns and enjoy time as long as it still ticks for you!

When you join this circus called a business career make sure you are ahead of everyone racing the circle.
Someone has to be the winner … maybe?

Everything is just perfect in advertising. Everything isn’t perfect in real life. But it seems to me that more and more people have lost the grip and reality – and think that their life’s should be more like advertising?

Love seems a good that only gets more interesting the more complicated it is to get it. That might be more a game of the ego instead of the heart. Being nice, being loved and loving someone can be pretty easy – if your ego just could stop demanding stuff attached to love itself.

No matter who much cuteness, pink and kitsch you stuff into your life – it will end. The question is: How much real substance do you want? How much effort are you willing to invest into you own life? And how much pain are you willing to endure to reach your full potential?
Sounds to harsh? Well then choose the way of modern consumerism and try to get the easy & fluffy ticket until death.
The easy way out will always be there.

If you are poor and stuck in some backwater place your choices are limited. To have a choice is a luxury – not many people enjoy that privilege.
But to develop different perspectives on life you need to have the luxury of self observation and time to reflect. And some brains and some education help too.
Many of our fellow humans are still simply trying to survive and lead a decent life – without a break to think about themselves, learn more about culture and spirituality – or having the resources to start a ‘new’ or ‘different’ life.
If you can afford all these things and you can think – than use these gifts. Otherwise you are wasting yourself and the chance to improve society. Self improvement is not a one way street – as part of a bigger community all bonuses and deficits are added or subtracted from the ‘big picture’.

Pink has become a terrible lifestyle and attitude the recent years: just be happy, just be fluffy, just be nice. LOL LOL LOL …
Your life as a Kitsch object. Terrible!
Life isn’t a pink pony to ride. Life is a bit more colorful, exciting and terrible. Enjoy all the colors and attitudes. Thinking Pink is fucking boring.

No matter how old, traditional and pompous your ceremony is, enlightenment and any higher spirits won’t drop down on you automatically.
Usually it has quite the opposite effect: having received some spiritual recognition via ceremony is often like a blank cheque for ignorance. Why bother – I already got my holy approval.

As a sperm you already won the race with your father’s other competitors. But in the end you can only exit the game like every other player – dead.
For all the competition in life there is no real winning, no real first prize or looser. All you can do is breath, develop your potential, maybe clone yourself and raise your kids. Have fun and enjoy yourself on the way to your grave – because that’s the most you get out of it.

Often when people try to be scary it’s rather pathetic or simply funny. But what if you are scaring people without even trying? Are you projecting a hate shield to keep people away? Or are you a Guru, who’s insights scare the ignorant and stubborn? Or are you simply a mean spirit?
Being scary is not a compliment – it’s usually an ego deficit transformed into fear and violence.

New Age gurus and motivational trainers seem obsessed to hammer positive thinking and the idea of always constructing win-win situations in everybody’s minds.
Loosing or failing is one of the best ways to learn something. So failing is actually the best way to become a master at anything. Failure teaches us a lot.
But more important is the ‘deconstruction’ of the dualism of winning and loosing. Once you get rid of of the cultural and social pressure and concept of ‘being a winner’ or ‘being a sore looser’ life gets MUCH easier.
Once you get rid of this judgmental concept in your psyche you can go with your flow and open up your mind for creativity and collaboration without a ‘winning’ end result. Creating something excellent is not the same as winning a trophy.
There is a huge difference between being declared brilliant and being brilliant …

Most esoteric types like to ‘go with the flow’. Extra effort or dealing with harsh obstacles or barriers don’t appeal to them. It’s always very cool and ZEN like to NOT want anything out of life or work to get SOMETHING.
But life is physical as well as metaphysical. Rewards for both planes of existence are worth some effort. And it is nice and rewarding to have accomplished something for yourself and others by NOT going with the flow.
People like Gandhi, Albert Einstein or Martin Luther didn’t go with the flow and waited for change – and they changed the world.
Achieving something means often to break your own comfort zone, work long hours and enduring serious pain. Often the result can be nothing, but sometimes it can be everything.

There are days that simply suck. There is no cosmic nor carmic reason for it. So indulge your misery or simply decide to snap out of it. A happy psyche can create a happy day …

Being defeated in public is embarrassing. A tough thing is hard to overcome. But people love the comeback kid – but only if you are brave enough to learn from your defeat, stand up and try again.

No matter where Mr Crab goes – he always is at home. We also carry often a lot of baggage with us, but sometimes our minds won’t rest, feel safe or at home – no matter where we are. Maybe it’s time to work on that mental shell and get rid of it. A human can survive in all ‘nakedness’ – Mr Crab can’t. It’s our advantage – let’s use it to live without fear and burden.

Some spiritual disciplines are so focused on transcending everything that they can’t appreciate the silly side of life any more. If you can’t laugh no more, you are already dead and have to be reborn as a sitcom character. Laughter is good for the soul and an excellent tool to overcome fear.

Don’t try to be a Saint, try to be a proper Human first. Have you already developed your full potential?

Sometimes there is a huge reward waiting for those who take action and have the courage for a bold move. Don’t be afraid – take heart and take your chances …

While playing with fire – many people ignore the complexity of it’s relationship with it’s surrounding. The strings of fire can expand beyond your grasp and burn you …

Since their is no such thing as a ‘universal fairness’ clause we have to cope with pretty heavy problems from time to time in our life’s. Some people say challenges can make you grow, but some challenges simply knock you out. Not every bad situation has a ‘good’ aspect, not every problem will make you grow and help you to become a better or even happier person.

Grow! Jump! Reach out! There are always things beyond our current limits – so we have to go beyond our limited self’s. It’s worth it.
How often do you really hold your own destiny in your hand? And how often do you carefully shape your own path? Do you leave it all to the universe by accident and pure faith? Or do you simply function?!
How often do we really apply our powers to shape our future in a conscious state of mind & spirit?

Some problems in life seem huge and you feel only tiny and insignificant. But David did beat Goliath – and small pinch in the right place can even make giant run away. Take your chance!
